You have my sympathy ! There's the same problem here. But when their parents
aren't fluent in English, you can't blame their offspring for conversing in their
mother tongue.

The day will come when, like the Council, we have to publish these posts in Urdu,

One of mine works in tax credits doing the help line. Many foreign people claim it without any proof virtually plus they have to provide interpreters for them costing even more cash. I asked him if I went to Poland. would I be able to claim tax credit from them? Don't think they do it he said. I rest my kitbag!

Surely rules for one EU country should apply the same in all countries??

You probably could claim all sorts of Credits in other EU countries but the forms would all be in the language of that country. You wouldn't be able to get an Interpreter as they are employed by us (at great cost to the Taxpayer) over here! I travel to Northern Cyprus (off again next week btw) twice a year, and as far as I am aware, there is no such thing as unemployment benefit, Tax Credits, Disability Benefit or any other sort of benefit - no worky - no money.

I reckon a lot of the Eastern Europeans, Poles, Czechs etc go to Britain/Ireland to escape National Service in their home country, anyone agree?

I know that in Ireland these days many hospitality jobs are taken by Eastern Europeans, they work for less than the Paddys.

Not only incomers who work the system.......... On one site I was involved with, a self-employed chippy disappeared every Thursday to sign on. When I had the misfortune to cop a redundancy & had to do the same, one attendee was distressed at the long queue & tried to get up front by explaining that if he wasn't back on the job by two, he'd get the boot. A West Indian giant blocked his progress saying " And my taxi's double parked, man ! "

At least it was probable this one had contributed something to the kitty and he wasn't fiddling millions, but that don't make it right......... What do you do ? Shop them ? Probably not. That ain't British & a lot of the queue might have been on the fiddle too. But foreigners are fair game !

Re Immigrants: When I first returned to UK in 2002 after emigrating to OZ in 66..I landed at LHR, shock horror, thought I was in New Delhi. Tell me, why do so many British of Indian descent like to be Customs/Immigration Officers?

looking at the border forces on telly , 80 percent of the customs and border agency staff are asian or black , heathrow airport 90 percent of all staff are asian or black , when they catch illegals they let them free on bail so its illegals do a runner , all the money it cost to catch them then they go free, to milk the benefit system ,ginger
