| Hi Annie,
I was single in my time in Deilinghofen (BMH Iserlohn) only got to give blood and get free beer at BMH. Did my baby making on my second tour down south in Lahr.
Welcome to the site. Adds a touch of class to what other wise would be a vulgar brawl.

| The only time I spent in BMH Iserlohn was having my wisdom teeth out, not a pleasant experience. The Dental Officer was nicknamed "The Butcher". Whilst on the subject of teeth gentlemen I have a confession to make I was not a nurse nurse in the QARANCS' but a Dental QA. I have however enjoyed all the banter and I hope I can continue from time to time to contribute to the forum. |

Why yes indeed I was and I never killed nobody (I don't think) . Must say though the dumplings we made use to stick well to the ceiling in the dining hall they would stay up there for days it was unfortunate but bloody funny if one dropped in your food:lol!: |

- Being an Ex QARANC/Wife of an ex soldier and daughter of a founder member of the REME, and having spent 11 years in BAOR, I feel I am a bit of an authority on the subject. You see I regard Germany as my "breeding ground". Two postings to Dusseldorf and two babies born in RAF Wegberg and then one posting to Minden and one baby in BMH Rinteln. Further postings to Hong Kong and Aldershot several times and produced no babies. Here's why - I loved Germany and it always seemed to bring out the maternal instinct in me, my husband didn't take too much persuading and I found the best time to approach the subject was when he had just bought himself a new tax free car. So No.1 baby is my Beetle, No. 2 baby is my Ford Escort and No. 3 baby a little more up market is my Audi Quatro.
Anyone else with stories of becoming a parent in BFG, that's a question for the men too by the way.
My son was born in BMH Rinteln in 1988, he was our Mitsubishi Lancer, my daughter was born two years later in BMH Munster, she was our Mitsubishi Galant. We were obviously going through a Mitsubishi phase at the time, lol. |

| Ah yes, I'd forgotten about the Nuffield bus!
We proles never got the use of it, it was allways being used by some Regimental Team or other, if not, the messes would grab it.
Riding in the back of a, (rece transport), Bedford was about the best we ever got. |
