| Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for sometime. I've found the website an invaluable source of information for the project I've been working on, so thank you all for that. Basically, I've been visiting the old military installations in Germany that have been abandoned since the end of the Cold War, and I've been documenting their current state. I've compiled brief histories to go along with the photos, and am currently
But, I really need some help with a site located in Arsbeck. I've searched and searched the web, but I can't find any information on what it was or what purpose it served. Strangely, it was connected to RAF Bruggen via rail. If anyone has any background history of this site (as well as any others on my website) I'd be keen to hear it. If you'd like to share any personal stories, that would also be great.
I've attached a link to my website for anyone interested. Thank you all again. Tom.

| It was the Petroleum Depot, part of 3 Base Ammunition and Petroleum Depot in 1966/7. Also there was a Rifle Range and an area for the field training of the HQ BAOR. All were dragged from their sedentary jobs annually to toil on Regimental Training. | |
