Trying to find...

Hello everybody,
my name is Jenny and I am 31 years old. I am looking for my father who possibly served in the British Army in 1977/1978. He was most certainly stationed in one of the Verden barracks.
As we both share the same Indian look, I assume that he has Indian roots.
Unfortunately I cannot provide a name as my Mum does not want to speak about that former times. All I have is a photo showing him with his friend an comrade Robin. As far as I know, he met my mum through a girl called Karin Wiechmann and they often went out to a club in Dörverden.
I know that there is not a big chance to find him with that very rare information but I just have to try it anway.
Please be assured that I do not want to cause any trouble, I am not interested in getting money from him or whatsoever.
I only want to know where my roots are and after many years of unsuccessful research I really hope that there is someone reading this and suddenly remembers my mum Evi or her friend Karin.

Hi Jenny - can you post the picture on the forum - that way if someone does know of him they can say and if he is in uniform even better as badges often tell big stories!

Hello again everybody and thanks for your answers and that your are trying to help me.
Of course I know that my chances to find him are very little but I anyway what else could I do?
Well, unfortunately both guys are in civil and not in uniform as this picture had been taken before they all went out together. It must have been around November 1977?!?
The man on the left is "Robin", in the middle there is my aunt Marlies who was pregnant with my cousin at that time. From Robin they got the idea to call the baby girl Mandy. And on the right there is the man who is supposed to be my father.
I really hope that the picture is of any help.

Hey, im schlimmsten Fall hast Du ein Bild ins Internet gestellt welches 33 Jahre alt ist! Leider kenne ich keinen der im Bild ist, 1977 war ich zarte 5 Jahre alt und in Bielefeld.

Es sind aber einige hier die mit Jesus Karten gespielt haben und einen der Beiden vielleicht kennen.

Kannst Du herausfinden in was fuer eine Einheit er war, Signalls, Engineers, Infantry etc.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I have no idea where exactly he served. I only have those very rare information I already mentioned and the picture of course which also does not seem to be such a big help.
Anyway, maybe you are right and someone remembers either him or his friend Robin.
