I was based in Munster from 1971 till 1974, (RCT). My one over riding memory that has stuck in my mind ever since is the piece of music that BFBS used to close down its programmes at the end of each day. I know the ‘Last Post’ was intertwined with it, but what was the tune. Was it a hymn, or was it a special piece of music that was arranged by someone. I am 74 now and have more life behind me than in front of me, so if someone, anyone, can come to my rescue and please let me know what the music was, I would be eternally grateful, in more ways than one.

Terry,
I have a mate who has been involved with Radio UK Music for years.. He is very friendly with some of the ex BFBS guys.
Sadly we must wait a while for a specific ex BFBS guy to return. Sorry, how long we know not! At least I am on the search for you.
Alan.... (Also I was at Muenster about the same time as yourself). I was with Reme.
Ps. I trust you mean Muenster and not Munster! Its irrelevant anyway. Terry, were you 8 Reg't RCT during your time?

To Alan8376 Thank you Alan. I was in 8 Reg, 27Sqn. Munster Westphalia, not far from the Dutch border. To the other responders to my request, I thank you too. Just watching the Festival of Remembrance, brings tears to my eyes. Best regards, Terry.

Thks. I listened to music listed here. Yes, the crackle, original old video is best. And you are not the only one who sheds a tear. Tomorrow as well. Alan
