Korps Ems? Empty
PostSubject: Korps Ems?   Korps Ems? Icon_minitime24/3/2011, 11:35

The War Diary for CIC No 2 (Sandbostel) in 1945 after the surrender of Germany shows a series of movements in and out of the camp. Some of these mention transfer to "Korps Ems", for example

16 July received POWs from Westertimke, Esterwegen, 031 CIC, and transferred to 102 Control Korps Ems. Also transferred 55 permanent staff of this camp to Korps Ems.

I've not been able to find out what Korps Ems is/was. Am confused as to whether it might be transfer back to the Germans who had a regiment Korps Ems, or is it to do with EMS Emergency Medical Services.

Any ideas?

Many thanks
