Wiesbaden

Hello Everyone,

I am researching my family tree and have just found this site while looking for information about my grandfather, who was connected to the BAOR. I have tried searching the forums I can find no mention of Wiesbaden as a BAOR location.

My Grandfather (who I have been told was a Marine in WW1) was stationed in Wiesbaden. I have a copy of my great uncles birth certificate (from 1929) which gives my grandfathers occupation as 'Civilian employee at officers club, B.A.O.R' and the address given on the document is 'Command Garrison Adjutant B.A.O.R. at Wiesbaden, Germany'.

I wonder if anyone can help me with some information about the garrison? I am curious to see if my grandfather was possible as serving member of the military who stayed on in Germany once his military service ended.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
