| Hi Gordon & John boy,
These are terrific - perhaps I have opened up a rich vein here. Really look forward to some more. Not being a collector of stamps and the like, never really thought that there were some many. They must be worth a few bob.
The only 1st day cover I really kept since 1966 was a cover for the 1966 World Cup. I gave it to my eldest Son who managed to get Nobby Stiles to autograph it a few weeks ago. He is keeping it for his Son who is 14 years old and will give it to him when he is a little older.

| Hi Jim/Gordon This is my favourite and yes it is worth a bob or two.It is the 71st anniversary of the first lancaster to be deliver to an operational squadron and this first day cover along with two more is a prize in "Aeroplane " magazine all three valued at £250 .  Any way you can not have the Lancaster without the Spitfire / Hurricane so this one is a bonus. Watch this space   | |
