| I've had other things on my mind lately but yesterday looked at the association site and was saddened to read that my old OC from 20 Armd Bde HQ and Signal Sqn had died in October.
A H Boyle or Tony Boyle was OC at the above during my time and went on to become Major-General and ultimately SOinC.
He was extremely helpful to me in tracking down a former colleague who had cine film of my late daughter and was always approachable even as a General. A really nice decent guy.
RIP Tony. | |

I join you in paying tribute to Tony Boyle who I knew for over 50 years
We first met as 6th Formers at Welbeck College and subsequently went on to Sandhurst (same College, different Companies0. Our subsequent military careers separated us but whenever we met he always made time for a quick word and friendly smile. His official obituary which will doubtless be published in "The Wire" should make very interesting reading.
RIP Tony indeed | |

| I was one of the standard bearers at the funeral at Haye on Wye, well attended and some good food back in the pub afterwards. I am pretty sure I saw one of my old CO's there from yonks ago.... | |
