This clip runs on for some time, I take my hat off to those having to salute all the way across Red square. This is the parade in Moscow's Red Square, devoted to the 67th anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War (what the Eastern Front of World War II

Certainly worth a second look but appears to be mainly concerned with the 1980's/1990's not the immediate post war period which is of interest to Steve and I (and doubtless others)

PostSubject: this may be interesting link - Map sheets Germany 1:25,000    Interesting Web Site - Page 2 Icon_minitime24/11/2014, 02:07

Held by the Brigham University in Utah
German Map Coverage  1:25,000 scale.  GSGS /  AMS M841  mostly pre WW2 mapstock with UK/US over print (read the Grid Note on right side of each sheet carefully!  there are clues to alternate grids and lat/long systems))

Each map pages has a built in magnifier for really excellent detail
