| As a child in the early 50s i had my tonsils and adenoids removed at BMH Wuppertal. In those days it was a week in hospital on a diet of jelly and ice cream, mashed potatoe, carrot & swede and other soft dishes. Today, I believe, treatment is a bag of crisps and out the same day. The children's ward had a lounge with3-piece suites but in miniature. | |
