When researching Glamorgan Barracks the home page appeared and the first picture you see is three NCOs receiving their long service medals.I can identify the man in the middle. He was Staff Sergeant Farr and he was my father. He was with the RCT.The picture was taken in the early 70s.I remember the camp NAAFI and the Thrift shop.My mother worked in the library and I used to help out sometimes. The cinema was a great source of entertainment for us army kids on a Saturday morning. My father passed away last October 2013 and we enlarged one of the photos of him receiving his medal and stood it in the church at his funeral. His coffin was draped with the Union Jack flag. The army was his life and I am proud and pleased that his picture is the first one you see on the Glamorgan Barracks web site.
