How effective is the personal radio comms equipment used by British Military, and just what sort of effective range does it have? Can it be used to 'talk to' air support whn this is called in?

Line of site comms and range of a few hundred metres. Will not talk to air. They are primarily for use as section comms between individuals, hence Personal Role Radios.

Hope that helps
