I was at Bruggen with 12 Flt AAC having been posted in from Minden just as Wildenrath was closing in 1992. I used to go back to Wildenrath from a nostalgic point of view when staying with my parents who lived nearby upto 4 years ago and the only buildings still up are the Guardroom (now a pun) and a massive hangar nearby (may have been pulled down) and some of the support buildings.

I was stationed at Wildenrath 72-5 .As an M.T. Driver.
I was on station MT. RAF,
I knew a few lads on 21sigs.
One L/cpl married a SACW RAF Driver called Maurean Fenwick.
I also used to do the Disco's in the NAAFI on a Sunday Night.
The person who helped me do the Disco's was aN LAC RAF COOK. His nick name was Tich.

I was wondering why the cooks in my regiment always had elastoplasts on their heids,it was because of those shi**y haverpokes they used to give us when ever we were going somewhere. Shocked

I was married at RAF Wildenrath in 78, nice place then.
