All there is at the moment is:-

Home to:

1st Bn Welsh Guards ?-1950 (1)
1st Bn Grenadier Guards ?-1964

(1) Departing for Krefeld

It is believed that this location was closed down/handed back in 1964.

Gort barracks called Bergische Kasene since handed back to Germany.
I can offer some pictures insite/outsite from now.
I am interested in pictures about British troops stationed in Gort/Llanelly - Barracks

Please excuse my tardiness in not replying to your message before now, I have no excuse.

Any details you can supply on Gort Barracks/Bergische Kaserne will be most welcome. Do you have any idea if this was a "new build" or was it taken over after the end of WW2?

I'm afraid I cannot give any details as it was in a previous life, many moons ago.

I went there as part of a CCF annual camp, possibly 1963 ish, the resident unit then was Irish Guards.

Sorry, the best my memory can do at the moment !
