British Forces in Georgsmarienhütte (near Osnabrück), 1945?

Hello everyone,

I always wanted to know about British Units serving in oder around Georgsmarienhütte, district of Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, I presume summer of 1945 or 1946. There is a photograph of several british soldiers together with german children, one of them my mother who is about 6 or 7 years old then.
The photo was taken in the immediate vicinity of the Protestant church in Alt-Georgsmarienütte (Luther Church); my mother lived in Friederikenstraße directly next door.

Can anyone point out the units in which the British soldiers served? Does anyone recognize his ancestors? I am grateful for any hint.

thank you for your rapid reply and helpful answers to my questions! Since the Volksschule (elementary school) was also in the immediate vicinity of the Luther Church, it could actually have been the 206 Battery of the 60th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment. - Another location - "Stahmer" - is probably the "Villa Stahmer" where my father lived with his parents sor some years.
