The virtues of King Alfred School have often been extolled in the writings of JPW, and the 3 Brothers French (Peter was SLO Paderborn years ago!)
Having seen some photos of the premises in the former Marine Cadet School (nowadays Ruhleben Kaserne was Connaught Barracks) can only appreciate what an idyllic and environmental value for a Boarding School the site had on offer:
