| The 1st Batalliom Grenadier Guards were Garrison troops after the war with the 2nd Batallion across the river in Siegburg.
On 1st Jan 1946 I was sent to Marienheide to take over a former Hitler Jugend barracks and organise a Ski centre for troops in the area.
Nothing came of it because at the end of Feb. the batallion moved to Kiel Holtenau. | |
