| The mention of plaques and other memorabilia from BAOR opened up the floodgates somewhat and I will get those receiveduploaded as and when I can. On another point, other nations such as Canada, Norway, and Denmark also played a part in BAOR. Does anyone have plaques, or images of plaques and other memorabilia, from these countries. Paul. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, I currently do not have access to much of the memorabilia left to me by my father and really don't know if I ever will now. Things like commemorative biersteins with caps on top (cannons surmounted on top in some instances and such), emblazoned with Sgt's Mess, year, occasion. I also used to have a small 'ship's bell' of the Cunard line ship we took to get to Germany in 1959 but that was in with all my other 'stuff'. I'm hoping/thinking perhaps Hardrations or other Canadians might have some of that sort of thing. The steins, by the way, often had a slightly risque feather dancer nude on the bottom which one could only see by holding up the stein to the light and peering into the interior. As a young boy I was fascinated by her and her 'sisters' in various such steins my dad had. | |

| Sounds a bit daft, I know, but I don't think their plaques (if any exist) would be out of place.
Any takers??
Paul. | |
