Gough Bks and Drumadd Bks Armagh

Looking for help from members of the site,nothing to do with Germany.
I have been requested to compile. a list of regiments that were in Gough Bks and Drumadd Bks since the troubles began in 1970.
Gough Bks,The Black Watch were in 1971.
Which Regiment was there before the Black Watch and who took over from them?
Drumadd Bks 1986 D Coy Black Watch.
Can any one help?

3 Inf Bde HQ & Sig Sqn AKA 203 Signal Squadron reformed 1 Jul 88 at Drumadd Barracks and were there until 22 Mar 93 then up the road to Mahon Road Camp Portadown hope this helps would be interested to know who was in Gough Barracks in 1972 while serving with 3 Inf Bde HQ & Sig Sqn when in Lurgan on a two year tour we were sent at weekends to top up the infantry patrols while the lads had a break

Ref Royal Signals does the name Mark Birmingham ring a bell?

Sorry Mark Birmingham is not ringing bells...and not Green Howards either...needs more research will keep in touch

The first two I'm not sure about and they could well be South Armagh, the last two though were actually in Drumadd Bks, 12 Air Def regt RA handed over to the QOH after their tour we in turn handed over to 5 Heavy Regt RA in Sept 77.

During this period the Armagh area was taken over by the Ballykelly Resident Bn, which I was with at the time. We had a company in Armagh at Drumadd and a company in Dungannon also a battery of RHA and a UDR Bn under command. Not sure how long this task went on for but probably till September 1983 which would have been 1 Cheshire who relieved 1 A and SH.
