Computer SPAM (Not food)

We have had several posts by 2 users who use the same style (same person) they have been banned, and posts removed.

If you see such a post, report it to a moderator via PM but DO NOT reply to it, as its easer to remove as a single post.

Simple Rule. No SPAM or Trade Advertising

No problem mate, I was alerted by Jim's PM and soon found all 4 offending posts, deleted the threads, which of course included your replies, and banned the offender(s) Plus one reply to an exsisting thread, where the reply only was removed. I think this joker would have continued had we not dealt with him.

I see we have another spammer.

Probably the same one...I find if you ban the IP rather than the individual that they soon disappear.Other alternative is to put him up against a wall and shoot him.

I think we have had this current spammer before, is there a permanent cure other than Gordons suggestion.

uh.....persistent little fellow, isn't he? Kinda like that damn raccoon who keeps burrowing in under your porch...no matter what you do, it finds another way in!

Not that you are riddled with them, as they can be a nuisance and bit of a danger to small dogs and children, but that my raccoon reference was not "North American-centric".

I know you all have hedgehogs (we don't) and possums (I believe), but wasn't sure if raccoons existed outside of N. America.

Swinging off topic slightly (again???)....I think raccoons are cute and smart as little whips, destructive though. My Nana loathed them as they constantly raided her koi pond and ate the fish and she had to resort to placing a wire mesh over the top of the pond which of course ruined the esthetics of a 'natural' pond in the rocks.

As a child it was always amusing to give a raccoon a sugar cube since they wash everything. The expression on the little guy's face when the cube melted was priceless. He could not for the life of him figure out what happened to his cube! Give him another one,washes it, gone! You could almost see his little raccoon brain going "WTF!!!" LOL

And, yes, feeding the wild life is not a good idea, I know that now! This was 30-odd years ago and we just didn't have the awareness of such things as we do now.

Think you will find Possums at the other end of the world in Australia. Herons tend to go for our koi. Not that I have any of course.

'tis said that we used to have possums here in Woolybackland but the raccoons ate 'em all.
You don't see raccoons now though, the herons scoffed 'em.

Even after all the years of familiarity with computer jargon etc etc, I still have the refrain from Monty Python playing over and over and over and.... :-) in my head whenever I see/hear about spam....
