Believe it was a Kirsch (Cherry) liquor for the top layer. The test was to drink layer by layer.

Bloody awful stuff, when playing dice the barman (And owner) of the corner bar in Soltau would make a sort of a 'cocktail' for the loser. It was his own little speciality and called it a 'Starfighter' the ingredients of which were a closely guarded secret however Ratzeputs featured heavily, bloody awful stuff.

Seem to remember the 5 INNIS DG had their own version of traffic lights in the late 60s/early 70s (nick named stable belt?) involving green Chartreuse, yellow Advocaat and red Cherry Brandy layered in accordance with the colours of their then Stable Belt
