| Hi i am trying to research my Father in India in ww11.I believe he was in the RASC IN 1944.
i HAVE A PHOTO IN WHICH HE APPEARS TO HAVE A BIG MATERIAL PATCH coming from under his /epileppe which is black and on his left shoulder.It appears to have a RASC EMBLEM ON IT.Not sure how to upload it on here but willing to send by e mail if anyone can help me identify it.

| Rhona has sent me a photo of her Father 'Arthur Collet' to add to the site. I'll post it now and await a higher resolution photo. Under the Epaulette is infact an RASC Side Hat. Is this an Officers type? I can't make out a badge of rank. I am unsure of the one displayed under his tunic jacket button! Could he be an Officer? | I think the reason for lack of information lies in India.
Is it possible Arthur Collet/Collett was actually a Royal Indian Service Corps (RIASC).? Possibly completed his Enlistment and time served actually in India?
I am aware there were many Indian Troops fighting in Europe. Maybe Arthur remained in India
I have searched the RASC site for any mention of a Arthur Collett/Collet. Nothing! No nowt. Nothing in Journals etc.
I must search for info on the WW2 Talk Forum!
