PostSubject: Information about Roy Barracks   22/7/2008, 21:09

Hello there,

I am currently looking for information about the Roy Barracks in Ratingen/Germany. I have taken pictures in German buildings, unfortunately, I had problems in reaching the British ones: http://hawks-geocaching.de/photogallery.php?album_id=151 (never mind geocaching, this was just a side effect Wink)

The location of this aerial is N 51° 16.497 E 006° 49.503 , and I think the Roy Barracks must be right there as well.

I would be glad about anything I can get! Unfortunately, the location is bulldosed right now as some stupid politician decided to use it for building some kind of prison Sad ...

Best regards,
Nik

Sorry although I served there for several years I did not manage to take any photo's of the area apart from one of me standing beside my car, that was taken at the far end of the barracks and was outside the sheds that adjoined the railway line, shared I think with 3 BAOR Map Depot, woulld love to have helped
