BAOR maps

I am going to throw this one out here and see what kind of answers I can get Shocked

.
I am looking to find operational maps of the BAOR AO, so that they can be shown to the general public. Not much seems to come up on Mr E Bay at all.

Have you tried the RE sites..The survey boys may be able to point you in the right direction

Yes mate, they printed all the maps for BAOR, it was part of the Engineer's role.

I am not sure if this will be any use to you ?

I do have a x2 BFG maps, west and east germany from about the late 80's / early 90's.

I taped them together and had them on my room wall when i was in Wildenrath and Gatow.

Are you looking for something in particular handler69 ?

No I was after something to display to the folks down here, I wasn't after anything in particular. How much do you want for them mate, perhaps a swap?

I do a display for the general public and schools down here of the Britsih Army between the years of 1970-1985 from the BAOR, Falklands and NI. Iam what you would call a "living Historian" not a reenactor. I give folks an accurate representation of that period in time from the vehicles to the documents used right down to uniforms and personal kit.
As I have said before this was an important time in history and needs to be remembered and portrayed so that the next generation can think back on the "cold war" and what a major part was played by all you felows.
Basically I want to show where you fellows served.
On my own behalf I would like you all to know just how I appreciate what you all did back then and thank you all for the service that you all carried out. cheers

That's great that you do that Troy, one of the guys on the RAOC board does it over here, I'm hoping to do the same when I retire.

Spent today getting an accurate representation of painting a Fox CVR W LOL. The green went on today ( after scraping and chipping 30 years worth of rust and paint Laughing

) black goes on tommorow along with the registration. Mechanics for a tune up Wednesday....

Belated thanks for the links Pborn4, these have been very useful in my research however on http://legacy.lib.utexas.edu/maps/ams/central_europe Lauenburg (Elbe) is missing, today have found an original map on eBay and purchased, with this now have a complete set for the British Sector in Germany post VE Day

Thank you for sending me the Fuel map fort Germ any; very interesting indeed.
I fail to read the date of issue; could you check ??

Regretfully it does nog show anything about the MSRs (and fuel stations) in Holland and Belgium.
Do you have any info on these ?
