Hi all BAORes, Im from Rendsburg northern germany. First brit Troops in our town : 2856 Sqdn RAF Regt. HQ in the old "Wrangel Kaserne see Picture Location. The next who took over was 1st. Btl Middlesex Regt. in the EIDER KASERNE (Albuhera Barracks. After that , 3rd med Regt. RA changed to 15th med. Regt. RA in Kingsway Barracks. Picture in LOCATIONS is correckt. Im still looking for lads who where stationed in this area, Rendsburg---Kiel---Husum---Neumünster---(22 Transport Coy. RASC) Heide---- Flensburg----Lübeck--- Üetersen---- or just anywhere in our beautiful Schleswig Holstein. In have a big collection of Photos from that time, still looking for more(Buy) if anyone would like to look, let me know. Sylt and Schleswig Land, both RAF Stations, anyone still arround ??? . Hallo Heinz, hoffentlich nicht allzu kalt in SH. Die Bilder die wir hier haben kannst Du, denke ich, gerne kopieren. Es waere natuerlich super wenn Du mit uns Deine Bilder teilen tusts da wir einen immensen Mangel an Bildern da wir versuchen eine Bilder bibliothek zu erstellen welches BAOR und BFG dokumentiert.

I was on Sylt during 1960 on Ex Holdfast sorry but I have no photographs for you
However if you look here you will see a train not sure if is going to Sylt in 1960 We had to cross by train. cheers Jerry

Hertzlich wilkommen but you are no stranger to the site (as kleiner Jimmy you made some invaluable contributions to the founder of the site which are to be found elsewhere)

Steve and I have been working seriously on the history of the British Army in Schleswig Holstein for the past two years which will appear on this site in due course

Will publish a short summary soon and will contact you direct with more details

We are still looking for the location of Headquarters 11 Armoured Division in the May 1945-January 1946 period which could have been in the Rendsburg area possibly in a Schloss or country house.
