Yes I am in touch with Brian. If you were at PBS he was there a few years before you I would have thought as he is a year younger than me !

Thanks for the photo of the School train I have only seen a very blurred copy of it before (I think a member of staff in the very early days was a railway enthusiast) The photo I have seen (taken in 1948?) is the coaches on the sidings beside the main school site with a lorry collecting/delivering luggage alongside.

I appreciate that I wouldn't have known Brian at PRS as he was there well before me but do you know if he's aware of the The Wilhelmshaven Association (TWA) for ex pupils of PRS? Even if he isn't interested himself, it would help the TWA to mark him off their list as another "found", who knows, someone from his era may be trying to contact him!

A quick update on the Wilhelmshaven situation which is very much an ongoing International project with British, Canadian and German involvement

I now have over twenty separate barrack locations used by the Polish, Canadian and Danish Armies as well as the Royal Navy and British Army

Publication of the full details will have to wait access to the Master Data Base off the original Home Page not Forum system.

Re Prince Ruperts School, a friend of mine from boys service (1949) was at this school and joined us at Harrogate in 1949 at the age of 14 and a half. His name - Brian Cleaver.(finished his service as a Lt Col (QM) in Royal Signals.
