On a more serious note have now seen the War Diaries for 79 Armoured Division and its subordinate Brigades but unfortunately there was no mention of 21 Field Ambulance but I stand by my earlier thought that your father could well have been directed to provide the urgent medical assistance rushed to the newly liberated Belsen Concentration Camp. | |

| In answer to brum, no. I was born in Paderborn, lived for a short while in Bad Lippspringe before moving to UK. Joined the RN as a Stoker in 64, left as a Petty Officer in 79. | |
