Thought it had already been put on here somewhere? On another note, three cases of ecoli have been reported in the UK. Seems to be affecting people who have recently visited Northern Germany or have had contact with people from there. My brother caught that a couple of years back and he nearly died. Not nice at all and especially dangerous to me with one kidney, so you Germans keep away from me and mine ta!

| Got back from Germany last Fri. Both my wife and I had upset stomach and the runs the weekend before in Baden Baden, cleared up in a couple days after liberal doses of Immodium. At that time knew nothing about the e-coli outbreak but now wonder if it was connected. Bob | |

Bob You would know if you got that Bob. Brother spent nine days in intensive care and more than a month on a regular ward. His kidney's now only work at 20%.

A couple of blokes asked about participants in the parade but I never actually put ithe programme on here. Big silver thing is it Brum? I think my wife picked it up at a car boot to be honest. I never took part in it but my 432 did. Can't remember why but perhaps I was too ugly to be seen by her majesty?

| Believe they are blaming bean sprouts from a farm near Hamburg. Chinese food gets you in the end. Wonder if they have been using some form of human fertiliser? They did in the war so why not? | |

Had an overnight stop in Hamburg once and of course had to visit the tourist attractions of the city...The dockside area was a very scary place. For once in my life i was glad i`d stayed sober..and got out in one piece and had no funny diseases appearing at a later date |

| Talking about dodgy tucker, I was diagnosed Coeliac last year, now eating is a pain in the bum, gluten free this, gluten free that, no wheat, barley, rye and oats, inc no more beer ! I am going on a a couple of big cruises in Oct/Nov, Greek Islands, East/West Med, Transatlantic then Panama Canal, so watch me dancing around the salad bar avoiding the gluten. And trying to avoid those 20 stone yanks who live at the buffet on board. I blame all those bloody chips, the ACC gave me with every meal at AAS Chepstow, circa 63-66. Is it too late to sue MOD ? Now tell me Princess Cruises employ ex Army Catering Corps Cooks or should I say Chefs? I should know, this is our 11th cruise. |

All those wild accusations about Spanish cucumbers eh ? Oh dear. Kind of reminds me of how the Germans joined in the hysteria over our beef. Just noticed I've been eating German yoghurt, is it time to put my brown trousers on ?

Human fertiliser was used extensivley in the UK prior to flush toilets..It was the job of the big house gardeners to collect and empty the chamber pots into a pre dug trench which when full was covered over and left for a period of time... Source:- Loads of it by Fred Loads |

Just noticed I've been eating German yoghurt, is it time to put my brown trousers on ? Maj.Gen.brum...you had better stay away from Aldi/Lidl then, stop buying those Espana cucumbers. Shop at Sainsbury's buy the British ones and pay 3 times more,OK? You old soldiers have plenty of money, big army pensions and all that eh? In OZ, we get a lot of packed vegs, inc cucumbers from places like India, Vietnam, I don't really want to know what they use for fertilizer there, but then I do know and it is not nice, they love those sewerage farms. Not been to India, nor do I want to go there, but been to Vietnam and that is 4th world for sure. Same as our fish, we send the good stuff to Europe/USA and import the rubbish from Vietnam, Thailand etc. But no, we don't want our Fosters back, keep that over there lads. |
