| Do womens brains function differently to mens? I'm in a shop at the checkout with my goods and cash in hand. In front of me the woman gets asked for the cash but says "I will just put these away". She then proceeds to bag her shopping very slowly, after which she then searches for her purse, duly finds and then searches for the cash.
I never see a feller do that and am always ready with cash or wallet in hand ready to pay, and put my items in a bag as they come through the till, so why can't women?
It's a conspiracy I tell thee! No wonder we die earlier.

It's a conspiracy I tell thee! No wonder we die earlier. They are the same when they come to bed, us guys clean teeth ,undress- bed 5min max women they go through this rigmaroll a ritual clean teeth-off with the make-up - on with the moisturiser - brush their hair - get undressed put nightie on - puff up the pillow get in to bed and wake you up because they take forever:So it's not just the checkout that their brains work differently but this is the ultimate at the checkout

| Totally agree about supermarket queues......... Purses come out of some forgotten corner of a handbag, fingers probe for loose change as though they are surprised payment is required. And pubs ! Don't get me on about pubs......... "What do you want ?" they are asked. Slight pause, brain clicks in, location is registered........ oh yes, we've come out for a drink, what a surprise. See now what shall I have ?
And when they are in a group, the female equivalent of half a dozen lads meeting up, watch how they pay........ No offer to get them in, all want to pay separately. Purses come out again, argument ensues about who had what and how much each one's tipple costs...... Grrrrrrrr !

It's a conspiracy I tell thee! No wonder we die earlier. While agreeing with the latest Teabag rant, I get annoyed with those women who turn a corner in a supermarket aisle, looking in the opposite direction to their line of travel. Having rammed you with their overloaded trolley they then wander on without a word of apology. Why do they do it ? Because they're STUPID ! (I find your sussy belt a little tight, by the way).

(I find your sussy belt a little tight, by the way). You know the worst of it Brum? They have driven to the supermarket so god knows what their driving is like. Sussy belt eh? Lucky man! Dirty old lucky man though.

| Eheheheh....I work in a store and, believe me, the bit about waiting until the last minute to dig out the change purse...usually buried in a huge handbag under half a ton of crap, then unzipping the change pocket...no, that's not the one, sorry....unzip the other side. Nope. Go back to the first, peer perplexedly into it's depth....yes, that's right,ma'am, those shiny round metal things are called "coins"....then proceed to pick through them...."How much?" total is relayed again. Nod. Pick pick pick. "There's 5 cents.....pick pick pick....6....pick pick pick, 25....how much?" Total is again relayed. "oh....5...no no wait....25, 5, one cent....uhm...." That's 31 cents ma'am, I need another $1.35 from you...."$1.35? I thought it was $1.66..." "Yes....the total is $1.66...you have 31 cents out..." "Oh....pick pick pick....10....oh, I have a loonie (Canadian dollar coin, before any of you lot start making comments!! :->)...." and on and on it goes.
Meanwhile, there's a line up behind her full of sighing, eye-rolling, shifting from one foot to the other people. She's oblivious.
And it's not just little old ladies who are on fixed incomes and literally penny-pinch. Young girls are doing it. That, or the $1.45 or whatever it is total is announced, they look at the change in their hands, get this totally confused look on their face and dump it all in front of you....$5.00 in change! They can't count...they have no idea what they have. Then when I count out what I need and slide the rest back to them ("that's yours") they continue to stare, slack jawed, at the coinage as if they have no idea what to do with it. "How much was it?" Total is given along with the assurance I have the correct amount and the remainder is theirs. No idea. Nada. Zilch. Not a clue in the world.
Then we wait as they pick, or try to pick, up each individual coin to drop it back into the change purse and if I dare to scoop it all up at once and hand it to them...I'm being rude!!
Aaaaaaaaaggghhhhhhh.....!!!

| At last ! A topic with which I can claim some familiarity and parity with you career soldiers !!!!!!
Thinking lasses and money, scrabbling in purses, etc., you may have smirked at groups of females in eating establishments. Lads will look at the bill. split it four ways or whatever. Women will argue about who had what, almost come to blows to resolve how they can all be satisfied no one has contributed too much or too little.

You should see what happens here in China in a restaurant situation everyone wants to pay the bill, men and women alike, they will fight each other at the cashiers desk to pay, it is a face thingy. If you do not attempt to pay then you are looked down on as a scrounger unless you are an expat and then you will never be allowed to pay.
