Hmm, I seem to recall that in the 1960s the Rheindahlen Garrison at BOAR HQ had to put a razor wire fence and duty gate guards around the WRAC billets to keep randy, drunken squaddies out. Mind you, I did hear tales that the WRAC ladies were just as randy, and many a lassie was sent back to Old Blighty with a 'bun in the oven' as the Garrison RMPs etc tried to keep any scandal out. There were some very pretyy lassies back then, but then there were a few of the gels who looked like Russian shot put athletes, a tad on the large size with moustaches.......!!!

I'm sure it wasnae tru  really true and memory plays tricks after a night out on the beer at the Malborough club there......

i used to knock around wiv a wrac gel from brum , she had a tache , snogging that in the globe used to give me shaving rash , bloody good sorts the wrac girls in rheindalen , the pub in the woods i think it was called the antics most of the girls could drink the blokes under the table , god bless em , ginger

Nah your wrong.. It was to keep the WRAC in...

i think the ladies of the wrac and wraf were much maligned , i found they were bloody good company , a good laugh , and were as decent as most women i have known , that is apart from when we had to play them at hockey , their hugh csm useally played in goal and a couple of staff sgts did the attacking , we always suffered maximum casualties playing the ladies broken limbs were quite common . we had one cpl who tried to take liberties by hooking one young wrac girls shirt up wiv his hockey stick , retribution was swift and solid , stick across his forehead , for weeks after everyone thought he had a goose egg implant on his nut , like i say they were lovely ladies , bless em all , ginger

Women are like that at counters. When I worked as a cashier, I'd say 80% of them drove me insane, not to mention the queue behind. I sometimes felt like grabbing their purses and counting the dosh out myself, in fact I did with the little old ladies, but nicely.
Then orf I'd go to do my shopping and promptly do the same!
