my dad did national service in the BAOR between 1950-52 during which time they won the army football cup championship. He would love to hear from some mates he served with at this time, who he believes moved to Canada. These mates are - Clive Brindle, Richard Ian Moore, Bryan Carter and Maurice Warden. Any help in locating these lads would please my dad immensely. Thanks, Neil.

Neil, was your father with the Durham Light Infantry who won the Cup in 1952?

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately got the information wrong from my dad and the lads he is looking for are old pals from his early youth. Communication can be difficult sometimes. Love the site and what it achieves. Thanks again. Neil.

Thanks for the quick reply. My dad now informs me the unit he was with won a division but never made the actual cup final, and the lads he was looking for didn't serve with him in the BAOR, but were old pals from school and early youth. I will abandon my search here and thank you again for your interest. Neil.
