Yes, the Generals as well. By jove you Generals we have no Field Marshal on here, when is Gen.Gordon going to get the Field Marshal's baton?

Is there a real Field Marshal in the British Army these days?

Australian Army highest rank is General, of which we have 1.

FM Lord Bramall 1982 Kings Royal Rifle Corps
FM Lord Vincent 1991 Royal Artillery
FM Sir John Chappel 1992 Gurkha Rifles
FM Lord Inge 1994 Green Howards

The only Royal Field Marshals alive are :

FM HRH The Duke of Edinburgh 1953 Marshal of RAF/Admiral of the Fleet
FM HRH The Duke of Kent 1993 Royal Scots Greys

I am talking about real Field Marshals, who went through the officer ranks of the British Army, not the 'snobs.' i.e. Monty.

ANYWAY..Gentlemen (are there any women on here) From HM Colonies I propose that our General Gordon be promoted to Field Marshal with all the necessary benefits.

What say ye. I love you
