Talking about Warrant Officers, Eddie Holness was in my opinion one of the best. The other Warrant Officer in 7 Sigs was Tom Joyce in 1 Sqn - both great guys.

I remember Tom well...he took my MPC 1..Barsteward.lol...I didn`t know my left leg could move so fast.We were in DMS boots by then,but he wanted the same noise as studded ammo boots..memories, memories, memories.

Tom Joyce made RSM and then he emigrated down under. Don't know any other details but is is one of the best SSM's I have ever had. The other two were Jock Fisher of 206 Sig Sqn Munster ( later met him in Singapore) & Eric Webster of 249 Sig sqn Singapore. He finished as a Major (QM) and we meet every year at the Harrogate Association Reunion.

Eric was a SSgt at Denbury 62-64 met him a couple of years ago at a reunion great bloke

They were in my Troop in 7 Sig Regt Sheldrake, except the cowboy. He was in the QM stores and was RA attached.
