Corps of Military Police (not Royal until 1946) Where they were and in outline what they did!  (and sometimes to whom!):

Thanks Pborn3

Excellent for recording minor unit locations post VE day and solving a riddle with “HQ Lines of Communications 21 Army Group” now realise disbanded in July not May as recorded elsewhere…

19 Line of Communication Sub Area – HQ Rheine to Burgsteinfurth to 34th Armoured Brigade command 1st Corps District Jul 45 becoming HQ 19 Sub Area until Dec 45

Keep up the good work

were they disbanded or was this the result of change of title to Corps of Royal Military Police and all the admin changes that drags with it - Estab Numbers, Post Numbers on the Quarterly Strength returns, and a chance to re-align the formation as a post war exercise? I have a query with the CRMP Museum to see if we can draw out some answers and see if 110 Pro Coy are the BAOR longest servers!
