| Just how much training do Infantry Siganlers receive, and are they specialist trades within the Infantry structure, and how does the levels of training equate with R. Signals Radtio Trade groups. I can remember being part of a R Sigs detachment to an Infantry company when stationed in Bahrein, Hamala Camp in 1968. The R Sigs detachment ran the Comcen and were responsible for crypto security. The Infantry signallers I remember were trained up to certain degree of vocie radio procedure, and one or two infantry lads, usually prometed to Lance Corporal also had morse skills up to around 12 Wpm. What sort of signals training do Infantry Regimental signallers recieve nowadays, and is this trianing provided by the R Sigs at Blandford Camp? | |
