| It's early Christmas morning here in BC, but you chaps in the UK or Europe are well into your Christmas dinner by now. This is a bit belated, but all the best for your day and may 2018 be a happy and healthy year for you and yours.
This also marks the fact that our 150th year of confederation in Canada has only 7 days to go. (I know...GET SOME TIME IN!!!) The year has slid by very quickly, but we're looking forward to the new year and another wealth of posts from old comrades with wonderful (mostly) memories of our time in BAOR. So on behalf of Sunray (Moyra) and our family, have a great Christmas and Happy New Year.

Good to hear from you.
The Europe based team have yet to complete their detailed studies into the 2nd Canadian Corps in NW Germany in Summer 1945. We may be calling in favours shortly though the Black Watch of Canada war diaries are available on line and we have been able sort out details of the Composite Canadian Battalion which took part in the Final Victory Parade in Berlin in July 45. There is a hint that there was an earlier plan to send a complete Canadian Brigade but this was never implemented.

Don't recall anything about the Berlin victory parade, but I can ask a few old timers on our web site. Happy New Year!!! | |
