Searching for my unknown Grandfather - PLEASE HELP!

Hi everyone,

I'm desperately trying to find my unknown grandfather who must have served at Essen, Rhineland around 1953/54. I do not have any information about his person, which makes it very hard for me to find him. But maybe someone of you served with him and remembers some of the following details:
- he must have met my grandmother called Margret Schmitz around 1953
- he must impregnated her around December 1953
- my dad was born on Aug 14th 1954 in Essen
- he might have been part of : 42 Fd Regt RA 1948 – Dec 1953 / 48 Fd Regt RA 1953 – Sep 1955 / 41 Fd Regt RA 1955 – Jul 1958 / HQ Northern Army Group Signal Regiment 1952 – 1953 or 18th Army Group Signal Regiment 1953 – 1959

Maybe someone of you can help me find him.
