| Hi there. I'm posting this message on behalf of my father Donald Turner. He was stationed at Delmenhorst between May 1954 and July 1955. He was a radar mechanic with 5 AGRA REME workshops. From July 1955 to December 1956 he was stationed at AA ranges at Todendorf. Prior to that he did his basic training at No. 1 Training Batt at Blandford (Sept to Nov 53) and at No.5 Training Batt at Arborfield (Nov 53 to April 54). He would love to hear from anyone who remembers him or anyone who served with 5 AGRA REME workshop at that time. In particular Cpl Bryn Evans (RAMC) and Bdr Joe Boyer (RA). | |

| Hi Mark, My golfing 'buddy' has surfaced after a long winter, and as he was at Todendorf about the same time as your Dad, I showed him your mail. Whilst he does not remember your Dad, he has produced his copy of a book called 'Todendorf Ranges' by the Commandant, Lt Col. Burnett, which has many photos, including one of your Dad, and Evans & Boyers. Have you seen this book, or had your Dad left by the time it was printed? I would try and 'attach' the photo, but cannot see where 'insert an Image' is!!. If you want a copy, I would need your e mail address, if you agree. Cheers, Bill. | |

| Hi Heinz,
I am sorry to have to tell you that the book I referred to was a limited edition, and long out of print. Those soldiers that were given a copy have held on to them as a reminder of their time at Todendorf.
You could try 'e bay' or 'Amazon', or one of the many second hand book web sites just to see if a copy has been made available.
Cheers, Bill. | |
