| Hello Michael - I lived in Iserlohn from Dec 49 - Jul 53 and although I was not born at the hospital (obviously) I was treated there. If you go to the QARANC site you will find a great picture and a write up about Iserlohn Military Hospital. Its a good site for ex army brats as there are many Military Hospitals listed. Its obviously for members and ex members of the QARANC but they appreciate any comments, pictures etc of any of the hospitals. Hope you find what you are looking for. Diane. | |

| I, too, was born in BMH in Iserlohn. Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain birth records? I have birth certificate but am looking for information about birth and stay in hospital. Thank you. | |

| I lived in Iserlohn, 1955-57 where my father was the ASM REME of 3KOH at Epsom Barracks. My sister was born at the BMH there. In 1980, I returned to Iserlohn where my daughter was born (1983). Epsom Barracks had been renamed to Corunna Barracks though the in-camp barber there where my 5yr old son had his haircut was the very same person from 1955-57 who had cut my brother's hair (first ever haircut aged 2.5) and who remembered the occasion and my father..... particularly so as my father had had to pin my brother down for the barber to safely proceed. BMH was a great hospital with wonderful staff. | |

| There's some information on this subject if you go to the thread "BMH Iserlohn". That's the trouble with this system; it's very easy to get the same subject on various threads without being aware of previous posts. Hope this answers some questions. | |
