Southern Command on the Rhine

I am looking military records for Henry Gordon Farrer who served in the southern Command on the Rhine between 1924 - 1929. Previous to that he was Chief Intelligence Officer in Northern Ireland.During WW1 he was 2nd.Lt. with King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. What regiment would he have been
when he was stationed on the Rhine ?
