| Anybody know where Phil the Webmaster is, he has not posted anything since 8 March, a couple of submissions I have sent have been answered with an automatic on Vacation response. Its now over 5 months since he was last heard of .. I would hate this group to fold as I find it interesting with a great bunch of guys contributing.

| Actually, I was wondering the same thing. I am the bloke responsible for the Google Earth locations page. I have a number of updates that I have been unable to put up. Same reply.
Perhaps his job has taken him away. Hope he's ok. |

| He passed his Tiffy cse, and got posted to Germany. I spoke to him a week or so ago. But he's had a mad time at work. But im going to see him in the next couple of weeks i hope. I will ask him if I can put all the new photos on, as I have a load myself, of Niehiem, Osnabruck, Detmold.
But I will get back to you all Ref this.

| Good question Len, and one I am glad has been answered. I too think this is a great site and indeed one that serves a useful purpose as well. Not something that can be said of all websites. I also sent some update info yonks ago and nothing came of it, but if the site gets revived then great, I'm happy to send it again.
Claymore. Nice job on the Google Earth stuff. It's something that I had started doing myself, but you have got a lot further than I did. I do however have some additional info that you haven't included and if you want it, to include in your updates, please let me know.

| Mike, I'd be delighted to include any additions that you may have. There is an open invitation to all to add or correct locations.
Please send anything you have to "flash@baor-locations.com"
There's some more Osnabruck stuff that could probably go up now since the army have pulled out of the town.
I've also started a 'British Troops Austria' folder. Not strictly BAOR/BFG, I know, but close enough.
I don't know when any of this will go up, as Phil has the admin. rights and he seems to have gone AWOL. |

| Well thats a relief, I was beginning to get a bit concerned as to Phil's welfare .. he did a great job resurrecting the site after it fell into the hands of porno's some years back ..
And thanks Claymore for your Google Earth work

| Just wanted to take the opportunity to add my voice to the support of this site...it's excellent. I became aware of it via the www.ruhrmemories.ca site, which is also great re photos but there's no forum, which i think a shame. I like this forum format very much. and it's free! Not sure how Phil swing's that as another Canadian Army Brat site I belonged to which had a forum eventually had to go to pay-for-use as the webmistress simply could not afford to keep it going (bandwidth issues as I understand it...this site must use up a ton of that!). I feel as if I know a lot of you guys now...like we're all sitting around having a few beers telling our stories and such and 'remember that, remember this...' Oh gawd, I've turned into my grandfather!!!! Aaaaagggghhhh..... | |
