Received this morning by email, I felt I had to share it.

Ngongo Mwambe has to walk five miles every morning to collect food and water for his family . . .

This is because the stupid tw*t torched the SPAR and the KFC in Peckham High St and now he has to walk all the way to Lewisham for his breakfast.

If they try and alter the accent from "Aye oo" to "Rahther" they get accused of going all "posh" and putting on airs. What's that British comedy about the suburban housewife who came from nothing and is now a middleclass snob who insists her married name be pronouned "Boof-ay" not "Buffet" when it damn bloody well is "Buffet". Quite a funny show but also hits a note and reflects a very specific reality.

I'm probably preaching to the choir on that!!

I was not presuming to "sort your country out", brum, and I am sorry you interpreted it that way, but UK is not the only country facing issues such as these. The copy of the article published in "The Australian" bears out what I was saying, or at least attempting to say.

As for what an "Oreo" is....it is a chocolate cookie (biscuit) with a vanilla filling...so, dark on the outside and white in the inside....and is a degrogatory term applied to those people of colour, by other people of colour most often, who "dare" to "act white"....in essence, better themselves by adopting middleclass standards, styles of speech, and various other indicators of what is seen as white culture.

And yes, it was "Bouquet/Bucket"....it's been a while, due to work schedules and such, since I've watched the show. I do manage to catch it now and then but not regularly.

In '65 our regiment was posted from Colchester to Munster. At that time we had one coloured (it was offensive ,then to call someone "Black"), bloke in our battery. His christian name was Constantine so he got called "Connie". Smashing bloke, he was always willing to babysit my eldest son. He was one of the lads.

Not long after our arrival a group of about fifteen West Indians turned up and at first they fitted in well. Shortly afterwards a character joined who was supposed to have been a police officer in Jamaica. From then on the new "blacks" took to sitting in the gutter mumbling in the patois that they all seem to use nowadays and glaring at their fellow squaddies.

Suddenly Connie became very unhappy and unsettled, it seemed that this malevolent new arrival had accused Connie of being a "Whitey" and he had to decide on who's side he was.

Among this festering group was a rarity. He was a Jamaican but white, poor bugger didn't know where he belonged.

One day a group of us were loitering near the entrance to the battery block. Near us was a bloke who's turn it was to do gardening fatigues. It was the "white" Jamaican and suddely we saw him start smashing the windows near him with his shovel.

Cut a long story short, when he was marched in front of the Battery Commander, I was one of his escort. The BC read out his charge and asked the misfit to explain his actions.

In reply the accused said "You is pickin' on me 'cos I are black".

The BC's jaw dropped, when he recovered from his surprise he said "Case dismissed sarn't Major, march out".

From then on the regiment consisted of several hundred blokes subject to military law and a group of aliens who were'nt.

A recipe for anarchy. Nothing new there then.

Getting quite weighty, some of these topic bits ! Have to read them twice to make sure I'm getting the drift..............

We had a Jamaican lad, a willing & knowledgeable cook. Whilst the other members of Andy Clyde's lot were kerb stone layers, gas fitters or building trade labourers, ( no offence intended to these sinecures ), Josh learned his catering skills as a short order cook in a fast food outlet. Noted for his fried bread was Josh, a real delight under a breakfast egg............

Came mobilisation practice, all had to be kitted out for war. SSM shouts out " Get 'em down to the armoury, draw bondooks....... & Josh, when you've finished stirring that pot, get your assegai !....... What's in it, anyway? " White teeth flashed a huge grin. " White trash, sarn't major boss....... just had a fresh delivery of missionaries!"

It was like that. Just squaddies' banter, nobody cried "Foul! " or took offence. We even tolerated Lancastrians.......

My Surname is Macdonald. Whilst serving with 47 Regiment, I was the MT Sgt of 4 Bty , the MT Sgt of 3 Bty was also called McDonald - he was a Jamaican lad. I was referred to as White Mac and he, Black Mac - neither of us took offence!

we had a Black Mac in 29 he was white also a George Wright he was black.

Hi Dee Z, I couldn't possibly comment on that (on the grounds that I might incriminate myself)! I remember the incident with Clive very well, I was working in RHQ at the time.

Well, yes, but I didn't want to muddy the waters....there are any number of similar terms applied to various ethnic groups who are seen by others as 'trying too hard' to assimilate or become more 'like us' (dominant culture). Don't see the reverse, really, as in when a Caucasian assimilates into the culture he or she is in. The only term I've encountered is "going native" and it was more patronizing than pejorative, a dismissal of an individual's rather odd quirk rather than a condemnation, although it could be that too.

The Muslim birthrate is over eight per cent while ours is now down to 1.8.
Overall the birthrate in the EU (white population) is 1.5 or so.
No people group has ever survived with a birth rate of less than 2.11 (which is obvious, if you think about it.)

It must be comforting to know that the bulk of immigrant to the UK are coming in from Poland,Czech Republic,Hungary, Slovakia,Slovenia,Estonia,Latvia Lithuania, and not Jamaica, Barbados, Nigeria or Timbucktu.

If they are in the EU ,they can come and go as they please. The others have to go through the (the so called) system.

Your point about many immigrants now coming from eastern europe has not gone unnoticed by muslims.
They are now calling for a limit to immigration as they realise that many of the new wave are, at least, nominally "Christian" and not muslim, thereby endangering their long-term plan.
