| Well, it all seems to have gone off well apart from Prince Phillip catching some dreaded lurgie from the Thames Water. Anyway, he and Her Majesty left standing for over fours hours in that weather, some flunkie should have suggested that they both sat down for the ceremony. After all said and down, there were two perfectly good seats for them to have used, made at some great expense. Highlights for me : The puppet war horse seen on the thames bank. Seemed to have amused the Queen. Buckingham palace superimposed with terraced houses and shops whilst Suggs did his bit of 'Our House' Rolph Harris looking for a knighthood. Cliff Richard out of tune and Sir Elton John lost the plot. Grace Jones's legs -wow. Best singer for my money - Sir Tom Jones Best finalle - Sir Paul McCartney with his 'Live and let die theme with fireworks and effects etc. I expect there will be many, many comments from you all. | I'm not sure Jimsigs, perhaps they did in the South but nothing here in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, although they have issued a postage stamp with HMQs head on it, which I thought was a nice gesture. | |

No arguments there, but Robbie Williams did his best to garble a lyric in what is the current fashion......... And was that Cheryl Cole beaming behind Her Maj's right shoulder ? What the hell has an indifferent vocalist, well versed in undecipherable Geordie, ever done to warrant even more exposure ? ( That's M/s Cole, I mean, not Her Maj, so call off the Corgis )

| I agree Cartav - Ms Cheryl Cole is a disaster and publicity seeker. She can't sing so what the hell the organisers were thinking of when she was chosen. She must have a bloody good agent who probably got a good commission. | |

| Looking at the Royals arriving at the foot of St Pauls, I noticed that they are now using Guards RSM's as doormen. (opening car doors and saluting). Gee gods ! what ever next. Couldn't they have used officials with uniforms similar the the Royal drivers etc. Or what about using the Yeoman Warders etc. Jimsigs | |

The Kings Troop were on parade. In the preamble to the main ceremonies they were shown departing Wellington Barracks. They the fired as 60 Gun Salute from Horse Guards Parade Ground during the Royal Carriage Drive from Westminster to Buckingham Palace.

| Best act for me was Sir Tom Jones followed closely by Dame Shirley Bassey. Sir Cliff tried a little too hard to "entertain". You never see Elton John and Jack Duckworth in the same room nor, for that matter, Ken Dodd and Paul McCartney! I wonder if they all had a ride on the "Chair o' Plane" mounted on the Birthday Cake at the end? | |

I watched it all over here in the Colony and was impressed by the whole show.........so what if someone wasn't in tune etc. It was about the occasion not the singer !!
