Looking for Captain Hamilton & daughter Susan Mary Hamilton

I am looking for a Captain Hamilton whom I believe to have served near Munster, probably at least from 1967 to 1974 and whose daughter Sue (Susan Mary) was a student colleague of mine at Bristol University between 1974 and 1978 studying German.

We are trying to organise a 40 year reunion of our study groupand are finding it extremely difficult to locate Sue, which is frustrating as we have located nearly everyone else.

Any information of any kind, no matter how trivial (for example even Captain Hamilton's Christian Name) would be of immense help.

Failing that, any pointers to where I might be able to locate such information would also be gratefully accepted.

Apologies if I was not precise with the location I believe Captain Hamilton and his daughter to have lived/served in.

I did, of course, mean Muenster, Westfalen.

The only additional piece of information which might be helpful is that I believe Sue Hamilton to have attended the Edinburgh School, Muenster at some stage between 1967 and 1974.

The mention of 'Whiteladies Road' brings back happy memories.

I note that you have served in Oswestry. That could be serendipitous.

I believe the Hamilton family to have been in Oswestry, with the person I am looking for having been born there in 1956.

I assume that her father - Captain {?} Hamilton was stationed there at the time before being posted to Germany, where Sue was at school (I believe as mentioned above at the Edinburgh School, Muenster) for at least some of the period 1967 - 1974, before beginning her studies in Bristol in Autumn 1974.

This would appear to be the correct Captain Hamilton

In a supplement of 18th August 1981, he then becomes Maj. (QM) on 6th August

And then, in a supplement of 18th August 1986

Group B
G. Hamilton (495981) (formerly Maj. (QM) Reg) and at his own request reverts to the rank of Capt. (N.R.P.S.) 19th May 1986

This is a very helpful start. Not quite sure where to go or what to do next but it's more than I had a couple of hours ago.
