Hi,
A few corrections about the Artillery.
At Corps level we had the Artillery Division, known as the Arty Div. It was commanded by the Major General Royal Artillery (MGRA). I'm fairly certain that the MGRA in 1990 was Maj Gen MFL Shellard.
The CRAs were in each division HQ and commanded the Divisional Artillery Groups (DAG). They were brigadiers and titled CRA °Div.
HQ 1 Arty Bde was based in Napier Barracks Dortmund, not im Bielefeld.
6 Air Defence Regt RA was never formed. HVM was issued later to 47 Regt RA.

@Jo308 Thank you, I will change to Dortmund.
I checked on the others, 1st Arty Bde replaced the Arty Div in 1983/84. I checked the Army List and the Army Quarterly & Defence Journal, it was Quayle in July 1989 and he is listed as 'Commander Artillery 1 Br Corps'.
6 AD Regt RA was intended to be formed but Options happened, V Bty was formed in the field in the Gulf to take over all the RA BCRs and provided AD to the Armd Del Gp.

I was posted in a barracks on the Panzer-Ring-Strasse from 1988-1992. Leopard-2 Dutch Tank battalion in Langemannshof. We frequently visited Celle for the cinema, Hohne for the NAAFI and socialised with the officers billeted in the Station Officers Mess. I lived in Bergen and Soltau. Afterwards I moved to Rheindahlen. One of the chaps I socialised with, was a RMP-officer. Once visiting his office, I noticed all the flag-locations of the BAOR. But when I sift through ORBAT document, I'm still baffled all these years later, by how many troops there were in Germany at that time. Impressive

Just wanted to give everyone a warning order of sorts. I should be coming out with a new version of my ORBAT in the coming weeks. It will be updated with all the GDP89 plans I have been able to find so far and other odds and ends. Until then I have been able to obtain what looks like the last BAOR chart, Crown Copyright .....
