| BMH Hannover, Its the only BMH that I did business with while in the Forces. On the way back from a Border Patrol, one of the FFR Land Rovers broke down, and while attending to it , walked into the aerial base jutting out on the side.Suffered a cut between the eye and nose.Taken to BMH Hannover where I was taken care of by a lovely nurse.
Meanwhile the Land Rover was taken to nearby 60?Station Workshop REME,with a leaking water pump. The German Civvy mechanics were not as nice as the nurses at BMH Hannover, for in spite of my injury, they handed me a replacement water pump and they all went off to lunch. |

| Normally the "BMH Hannover Clock" Plaque was given to all members as a leaving present. Every now and then you get one on eBay for sale. The battery has normally run out. But I would love to buy one. It was a little naff so they ended up in attics or garages. I was at BMH Hannover from May 1987 to Aug 1989. When I arrived my brief from the boss was " We have a fantastic happy unit here and that means happy patients it is your job to keep it that way." Apart from the usual few it remained so on my watch.
