It all comes back to me, thanks.
I actually have a picture post card of old houses (in Bad Salzuflen)
that I must have bought from a Gastatte there.
Cafe Schmidt was home to many demob parties, some of which a must have pics of, but can't differentiate between boozers.
How I wish I'd written details on the back of my prints at the time.

| mention of the autobahn bridge reminded me of a photo i took back in '58. From 1992-99 I was a trustee of a Chernobyl charity and passed under that same bridge each time I made the trip to Minsk (felt strange, and I could almost see myself looking over the side.)  | |

| That picture of an almost-empty autobahn takes me back to the days when you could do a u-turn on the Hamburg autobahn and nearby villages seemed to make their own slip roads down the embankment. (1959).

| 'fraid after all these years I cannot recall the Companions Bar or Willey's. What I do remember though is that most of the females inhabiting the Tier Park Bar were from a large house which stood back in the woods just past the Tier Park. It was a hostel for displaced persond (female) from eastern europe.Miror, signal, manouver !!!! | |
