You need to open a photobucket or other photohosting site, upload your pictures there and then use the image symbol at the top of the post. Or go to the BMH Hannover thread, where Gordon? I think has posted some comprehensive instructions.

Not BD but leftover Service Dress from WW1, they were on issue to most Boys Units in the early 60s, possibly because the stature of 15/16 year olds was equivalent to that of WW1 soldiers. I can remember being "Upgraded" to BD around 1963ish.

In the JLR Royal Signals early 60s, the unit tailor modified the SD high collar to open neck for the champion troop and JRSM, the output passed out in BDs, Apr 62 SD replaced by No 2 Dress and BDs for all as 2nd uniform, then mid 1964 BD jackets withdrawn.

Now that you say it, I can see the padding on the yoke. It's hard to believe there was still a usable stock of Great War uniforms in the 60's.
Would anyone know what the cap and collar badges are for?
Thanks, Dan.

Cap and collar badges are Army Apprentice College and I am assuming that the epaulette slides denote a specific Company.

You clearly had an easy time during your Officer Cadet training. Can sympathise with Steve. The combination of the a small brass button plus white blanco gorgetteses on collars was a fearful combination at Sandhurst in the early sixties. ps. We too had brass buttons on our BD at that time, hence were were all issued with the old fashioned button stick.

I've been having issues issues inserting images in to the group. The link at the top of the group of how to upload photos goes to a dead page. Sometimes it refuses to upload or insert images selected. Sometimes it doesn't even list the images selected in the upload box. The select and upload box will often display too far down and be half off the screen. Also have an issue with the website displaying too wide for the screen, meaning having to scroll right and left to read articles and messages. I'm using Windows 10 and Chrome.
I did try to email Webmaster, but not heard anything back.
Here's some pics of the FV431.
And the FV437, which went to Thailand on trials

Mark,
Great and interesting photos of some FV 430 range of tracked vehicles, which I have never seen before!
Yes, it is difficult to get photos on the site. One can try the photo route instead of URLs. Maybe that would be better??
I use URL method from another site and paste it on the page.
Sadly, I think we have lost many interesting photos that members wished to display over the years. Lots of people, myself included, do struggle to transfer photos since the Bucket Shop stopped doing things for free.

The FV431 load carrier never got into production, the Alvis Stalwart being favoured
The FV437 Pathfinder never got into production, the Combat Engineer Tractor with it's rocket propelled anchor being favoured. Pathfinder designed for crossing rivers, and then able to winch vehicles up the bank. But had issues on steep banks

The problem, as we keep seeing, is the photo host services closing their doors and numerous groups across the world having blank spaces with Image not available or Update your account.
I have website, and use a number of Google products to bring those freely to the public. Google Sites of course is the main program for free web hosting of the site itself. Google used to have a great program called Picasa, which allowed to you edit, resize, copyright stamp images, but the Picasa Website allowed you to share whole albums. Google then pulled that entire package and offered Google Photos. Yes, it hosts your photos, but how long before that gets pulled as well. FlickR of course seems to be going on forever, but has also had wobbles.
Who's webmaster of this site, or is it running automatically now?
