| Brum The leaf could be a commendation. There are quite a lot awarded and if no campaigne medal is issued they are worn directly on the tunic. Our champion company wore a red lanyard on the right shoulder instead of the GSC lanyard on the left shoulder. Steve..i passed out from Harrogate in BD.Dec 61 |

| At Denbury the Champion Troop wore a red (RAMC) lanyard on the left shoulder and a system of different plastic backings for behind the Royal Signals cap badge going from dark to light depending on your term finishing with white for the output term this was scrapped in 1964 to just white for output term replaced by yellow when supplies of white ran out BD jackets were withdrawn in 1964 retaining the trousers with pullover as working dress | |

| I seem to recall that at JTR Troon we wore SD with SD Cap, as per Jims' Dad, then moved on to BD with (in my case) Brass RA shoulder titles and SD Cap. Sgt Instructors wore BD with No 1 Dress Hat. When we Mustered we were issued with No 2 Dress applicable to our Regiment, bearing in mind that every Regiment/Corps, apart from The Brigade of Guards, ACC, and Para, were represented, this was quite an impressive Parade. | |
